Hate the ending of the third book!

Third book. Love Bianca and the guys are confusing.

Book one complete. I remember really liking this book and the feeling still remains. So many mysteries! I like the bonus POVs at the end too.
What’d not so great is finding out this series is going to be 18 books long after just starting my reread and knowing only 6 are out 😢. Oh well, don’t wanna stop now…

And here's this epilogue from Finn from when just before he and Bianca were to leave for the college. Apparently, Finn's been sleeping with Julian's cousin Kayla, but he's in love with Bianca, but feels he can't have her. He still thinks he's protecting her. And apparently, there's some kind of bond between them. Did it happen that day that Finn first bruised her when he was beating up those bullies?

And then there's the shikigami screaming at Bianca that she was was supposed to help her. And then she hits someone because she was in pain and the nurse makes some kind of comment, is this how she ended up on that stupid medication? And then they told her she was a paranoid schizophrenic. So stupid the way they handled her. So, so stupid.

Trinity knew exactly who she was talking about when she said Sorcha and Kieran told her not to tell about her ability. And then Trinity left Bianca alone in that place. She ordered them to take care of her, but they didn't. Not at all. Why did they put her in a mental ward? That was so stupid. She was like 7 years old! The orderlies in that place said terrible things about Bianca where they knew she could hear.

So that's how she ended up in a mental hospital. How terrible. It all stems from that first memory of seeing a ghost and what happened. I remember it from book four. I can understand why she never wanted to talk about it and froze up all the time. They really handled her entire situation wrongly.

This whole problem started from a terrible misunderstanding. It doesn't help that they keep talking about supernatural things that Bianca clearly doesn't understand. She's only ever been told to hide her ability, so of course she won't talk about it. Then when she freaks out, the adults around her think they know why, but are completely wrong. And it all stemmed from Finn thinking he was helping her.

Is this why Finn and her parents started hiding the paranormal world from her? Finn was asking her about the first spirit she saw and she lost it, so he thought she was afraid of spirits. At first, her parents acted like they wanted her to tell them about seeing them and then fast forward ten years and they start making her believe she's crazy. They seem to think she's afraid of her abilities.

This novella is really enlightening when it comes to Bianca's background when first befriending Finn. Finn was actually a pretty good kid and he seems to have worshipped Damen. He even knew Bianca was the Xing, but the other supernaturals in their class didn't seem to notice. And who is that Rhea woman that showed up at the hospital? Finn and Damen's mom, perhaps?

This shikigami is manipulative as fuck. Finn was trying to help it, but it was killing him and doesn't even care. It's trying to convince Bianca to take on the bond. This must be what landed Bianca in the hospital that time.

So this demon was actually Finn's shikigami who seems to have belong to Damen in one of his previous incarnations. It's trying to explain something to Bianca, but Bianca has no clue as to what she's talking about. What does she mean "what they had"? There's a lot more to this. Apparently, Finn shouldn't have been able to summon this shikigami and he isn't strong enough, which is why Bianca was convinced he was dying.

Why did her adoptive parents send her to a school with other supernaturals that Bianca clearly knows nothing about? These boys bullying her all of a sudden must be shifters and with her being a fae, it's no wonder they're targeting her. The teacher was telling her about rules and I'm guessing it has to do with her powers, but she has no clue. This is a disaster.

So they knew the Abernathys. And they want to know if Bianca noticed anything at the school. I can't fathom why they thought questioning her about the supernatural in this manner would make her actually admit it. It's clear that Bianca is very anxious and not well adjusted at all. It's like they didn't even consider she may have been abused at some point. Abigail is too pushy with her.

The way Bianca and Finn became friends was so pushy on Finn's part, but innocent, too.

I wonder if Abigail was so insistent on Bianca not taking their last name when they adopted her was because she knew exactly who Bianca was and what her real last name was.

Abigail is seriously bad at this.

When Abigail saw Bianca for the first time, I get the impression that she knew who Bianca was from the start. She has a tendency to be really harsh with her, though.

This house Bianca was in before being adopted was terrible. And this Mr. Richards' teenage son is a total pervert.

And that's the end of book three. I remember when I read this ending when book three first came out being so angry and worked up at that ending and having to wait for the next one. It still pisses me off. The novella of Bianca's past just before being adopted starts here. The novella actually makes me dislike her adoptive parents even more. I still don't understand how they got involved with her in the first place.

I really dislike Bianca's adoptive mother. Why would she look annoyed that Bianca is in the hospital? And why is Julian's mother still using her married name as Bianca's doctor and claiming she wouldn't be able to withstand questioning? They came to lock her up again. Bryce tried to stop them, but they have legal rights over her. But do they really? They put her in a straitjacket! What's wrong with these people?

She really does not want to discuss what Dominic did to her in that room. Not to mention what has been done to her in the past.

She really feels like she has to be punished and that she's an evil person for what she did to those men. I don't agree, but she's probably a better person than I am.

That was definitely Mu. Seems like Bianca managed to overtake him, but not before killing several people. She thinks Mu is evil for what he did, though. I guess she thinks she herself is evil, too.

Daniel Cole really fucked up now. Bianca is lashing out hard, but I think it might be Mu more so than Bianca that's going on this rampage.

And why do they keep talking about Finn being on probation. What does that have to do with his being able to date or not?
