Shilo Quetchenbach is 50% done

Kiddo and I are really enjoying this one. Lots of information on the explorers, but not too much detail on their deaths, thank goodness. I love that the author doesn't glorify the European conquerors and is quick to mention the devastating effects of their 'expeditions' on the indiginous peoples and the slave trade. I especially love that the author includes many women and nonwhite explorers that I hadn't heard of.
