This book is incredible. Lamott is a hilarious author who talks about the importance of a “shitty” rough draft. In this part she is discussing that plot should not more important than the characters. The characters should make the plot. When writers try to mold the character to reach a certain plot, it oftentimes ruins the storyline. We must allow for rich and powerful characters to developed in our writing.
