Status Updates From The Bluest Eye

I didn’t know that this book would contain graphic sexual violence scenes and straight up sex scenes. I understand how it’s important to the story to understand the horrible treatment Pecola and other black women in the story endured, but it absolutely did not need to be depicted with that much detail. I think it could have been handled better. Those are my reasons for not finishing this book.
