This book requires some foundational knowledge of economics (classical economics?) which may require reading a micro- or macro-economics textbook. However, the point in chapter two is clear: when members of banks, industry, and government sit on each other's boards and committees, they act solely within their interests and the working class suffers greatly for it. "How will the shareholders buy their 15th yacht!"

i dont understand what lenin is talking about in ch. 1 (currently researching it now), but the point he makes in ch. 2 is extremely important: banks, commercial+industrial capitalists, and gov't is not necessarily a revolving door... they are absolutely involved with each other, forming a perfect union in which they have absolute control and the proletariat suffers because they are acting within each other's interest
