Why is this series still so good😂

Stumbled upon this in the children’s section of the library and decided to revisit a childhood favorite story!

I think it's supposed to be kind of cutesy, but it makes me cringe. As for the story, I enjoyed it, but I didn't really love the characters. One of them even punches their friend straight in the face simply because they didn't want to believe what they were saying. That's dumb in any books, and I definitely don't think it should be in a kids books.

These graphic novels are a great way to introduce young readers to the story, as well as fill in some gaps for older readers who still to this day struggle to get their hands on the original series. Because they are newer, I managed to grab the first five! The art was good. It did cut out a lot of the violence though. The artist also likes to give the characters big, round, shiny eyes, and red, bulging noses.

As a kid I read a few of the books, but they were whichever ones I could get my hands on and certainly weren't in order or even from the start. As an adult I managed to get my hands on the tv show, but the series was short lived.
