It’s funny in parts, but it’s starting to show how quickly things can go wrong when people are vulnerable and trying to survive😏

This book really said 😂 humor on one side
😳 survival thriller energy on the other. At 33% I’m entertained, nervous, and yelling internally

So far, this story is giving family expectations, cultural clashes, and quiet resentment wrapped in humor. Anvar's father discovering rap music and deciding that people "curse for no reason" but that it's "amazing" has been the highlight for me. 😂
The plot is still building, but the characters are keeping me entertained enough to stick around and see where this goes.

If i can't get this finished by Sunday evening I will have to DNF it. I just can't get into it.

I'm struggling with this one. Not because it is very nuanced or difficult. I'm just bored to the point of apathy at the moment.
