This is probably a gross oversimplification, but basically all of Howard’s heroines are pink collar, which is more than a little boring IMO and kind of automatically limits the scope of the characters she can write. (To be fair this is a feature of a lot of the romance writers who came up in the 80s).
In other words, I’m fucking bored of every second heroine being an interior designer.
