Boy, this is a real mix. Sadly, I'm not enjoying it as much as I expected to. There's been a few really good stories, and then others feel like they were written in an hour in a creative writing class.

This is quite a mix of stories. Some are really good, others not as much, IMO. Sort of a mixed bag.

one of my favorite things abt middle grade fiction is that I feel like I am living in my 12 year old head & it makes me feel connected to a sweet, younger version of myself. But so far I feel like no 12 year old talks like any of these characters? They talk like guidance counselors? middle grade fiction is an art form for sure & it’s a hard balance make them realistic & profound!! I appreciate that this exists tho
