Finished ! It's in the last quarter that the body and its many flaws, issues, everything that affects it comes to the fore. A memoir I liked in parts.

An engrossing quarter - about author's career, professional choices/options which are much better or fruitful to read about than her personal choices. A chapter on mother is immensely moving, one titled 'The Body Politic Fractured ' thought provoking. This section kinda redeems a lacklustre second quarter

32 chapters in the book, I finished the second set of 8. Honestly, I am least interested in knowing how many molars the author lost to correct her bite or her about constant sneezing & running nose. A chapter on complexion is interesting, very real. Barring the little mention of body parts, the book is a pretty regular memoir. Just that it's largely witty & humourous, at times too light to feel real.

A very novel idea of using one's body as a framework/spine to weave one's memoir around. The 'why' of this decision is explained beautifully in the prelude, marked as chap 0.
