Status Updates From The Memory Tree

Book club meeting is on Tuesday 29th and I am trying to whizz through this. I am enjoying the easy breezy read but it’s like one of those movies where you can predict the ending like 15 - 20 minutes into the film. 🙄 The protagonist is going to have a fling and end up pregnant by the gardener right?

I have until next Tuesday to finish this one (book club meeting). I don’t know if I am being rather snooty (please let me know if I am and kindly accept my apologies) but this is quite a basic read compared to what I am used to. Like a cheap rom com. But, just like a cheap rom com, I have to say I enjoy how easy and breezy the read is.

This choice of book will come as a shock to most of my followers but I have joined a Book Club in Monaco and this is the book we will discussing (I have to whiz through it as I have 9 days until the meet up). I have to admit, when I saw the cover and read the back, I was a bit nervous as it looked painfully boring but despite the storytelling being not as sophisticated as my usual reads, I am rather enjoying this.
