I like some parts of the story, but not all. But I am planning on reading book 2 of the series.

Miranda, the main character inherit her grandfather‘s house and starts a business of having a painting class and then when they are done painting, they meet at her house for dinner complete with moonshine. Her first painting class goes OK but it’s the dinner that falls apart as the main cook is found stabbed to death.
