This book is for the Civil War enthusiast and even more so for the lover of all things North Carolina. It is an interesting history offered by a voice of reason supported by facts that are sometimes flattering and sometimes, not so much. I was enlightened and found myself engaging in conversation with the author as if he were listening. I have purchased multiple copies of this book for my friends and colleagues.
