This story reads so much like a classic. Reminds me somewhat of The Witch of Blackbird Pond and just so charming and intriguing I can't stop thinking about it!

I want to write characters as lovely and uniquely themselves as this author does.

Lovely prose, well-timed revelations, introverted and competent heroine ftw!

Gee I love a domestic fantasy with a competent heroine and a seaside cottage and some murder selkies to keep things from being twee

This is so cottagecore and wistful and easy to read. I need a slow arthouse film of this with a wave sounds and a grey pebbly Welsh beach and soft acoustic music. The AESTHETIC!!! Oh, and it’s FREE right now as an ebook, did I mention??!

Haven't been in the mood to read these past few weeks but making some progress now. This is such a slow book but I'm actually enjoying the pace of this one.

an entirely refreshing and well-paced (it's slow in terms of plot BUT at the same time the perfect prose make it FEEL fast...? idk how to describe it other than Gingell is a genius at it) grumpy+sunshine story filled with mysteries of the sea as well as mysteries of the heart

Eurion is the relentless/ruthless sun in Carys' life. Period. And I'm so here for it.

I love these characters to death.
