The Children- a woman, new mother, discovering a lump in her breast. Simultaneously writing a piece on historical female figure and her activism in changing child labour laws. Interesting concept but felt like a flat point to me.

Words for things- about friendship, women, family, how we think and speak about women in the spotlight, and how time brings about a better knowing.
Jars of clay- Americans coming over to influence pro life movement in the South, POV a young girl, the will to do the right thing, with a sprinkle of doubt and indoctrination.
Nightwalking- perfect, high tension, mum of 2 in house alone believes she hears an intruder

Like this- was really good! Tension and panic came through, the story stuck with me. My worst fear is needing a wee in a coffee shop and someone stealing my dog, not that it’s totally comparable.
Mayday- I see why this is in here. Interesting. Abortion pill online, girl wrapped up in her story.
People tell you everything- interesting story, I wish a man wasn’t involved, repetitive absent man being pined for
