I took a long break to finish another book I started a while ago but I can’t wait to come back with fresh eyes.

Byatt’s writing is from a different era, so knowing that context makes me wonder why some reviews say that her writing is boring or bad. It’s simply from a different time where good vocabulary, and knowing how to simply write well were important. I’m on the second short story and while it’s a bit hard to follow, I’m enjoying the fact it’s good literature, and includes incredibly detailed descriptions.
