Status Updates From The Group

I'll admit I'm not getting on with this. Going to keep trying, not halfway yet.

I'm now further in and sad to say it's feeling repitive. I'm also finding it a bit difficult to remember story details, such as which characters have which children. It feels as though several characters are to act as background for the group of friends.

Borrowed from library as the "book at bedtime" until I've finished it. So far, it's well observed and moves pretty quickly.

Just read, very early on, a sentence about how a character hasn’t quite got over the fact that she’s a mere secondary English teacher when she could be teaching in a university or a novelist, which, as a teacher who is married to a teacher, riled me immensely. It took me out of the book, especially given that it was written by a novelist. Will I persevere? Will I finish? Let’s see…
