Why the hell did the whole feminism thing have to be brought up when the policeman simply told her, "This attitude isn't helping you"?
I mean, you're under investigation for murder and you keep attacking authority, so obviously he's telling you it's making your situation worse.
"How did you expect me to react? With a smile on my face? That's how the world thinks women should react to everything, right?"
WHAT???

I don't understand why, in these kinds of stories, people allow themselves to be questioned by strangers without saying, "I'll only talk to the police!"

The main character's personality appears to be *judgemental*.

Actresses are too thin, the police too stupid, bosses are awful, men largely sexist, beauticians all shallow, and anyone who enjoys Atonement is a sheep
