Status Updates From April Lady

The main conflict and characters are not holding my interest, and they seem very similar to at least one other book by the same author. However, I'm invested enough in some of the side characters to keep going. I usually really like this author.

Literally only just dawned on me that I'm reading this in April and I love how right that feels! Mind you, despite the fact this is a reread and I'm 3/4 the way through, I've still no idea why the book is called that or what April has to do with it 😂
