Status Updates From Al faro

This book takes itself very seriously, perhaps too seriously at times. But as I reflect on what the book is trying to do, I believe it’s appropriate. Woolf writes to dissect the human soul. She lays its bare innards out for the reader to gape at, lacerations that cut deeper than one’s own mental knife often dares to venture. It’s a serious matter.
