This book has a major woman problem. Women are only there to serve the protagonist's storyline and are not even remotely real people. The angelic, suffering mother, the goddess, the plain friend who fancies the hero. A shame because there are some really interesting concepts. Couldn't stand any more of the portrayals of women and DNF around 100 pages in.
