Status Updates From North and South

This was a good book but I went into this honestly more for the relationship/romance and the main couples moments are so limited and fast tracked that they only finally get together in last chapter.

Also everyone dies like literally everyone idk how Margaret didn’t jump off a cliff

Ygh... I liked all the social commentary, the North vs South, the prejudices, the discussion of the treatment of the workers, etc. But the romance is shit.. it's not really a romance and these characters are sooo black and white in their thinking, so self-righteous that I have a hard time sympathising or rooting for them. Their attitudes make sense, but I don't believe in their feelings at all
