Status Updates From The Book of Koli (Rampart T...

This book gave me such whiplash when I first started reading. I didn't realize that M.R. Carey was white. This isn't a problem and continuing reading had proven that my fears were disproven (Koli is a POC and his use of vernacular is used to showcase such in a way along with his description). I'm glad to see it since the name of the book and author was such a jump scare to me lol

Standing still is a human thing, like a defiance we throw, but we can never do it for long."

this book is breaking my brain and not in a good way. It's in second person which i believe can be done right but this book is NOT doing it.
"Except for one time, which I'll tell you of in its place. But, the next thing I'll tell is how Demar came to be Spinner."
Now i'm trying to keep an open mind because i think the author is trying to make this book be a diary of sorts (of the mc) but sheesh this is rough
