Status Updates From The Once and Future King

Finished The Witch in the Wood - the ending strikes you cold, particularly after not just this book but the Sword in the Stone before it so entirely committed to that mellow, whimsical, somewhat academic and moralistic, entirely child-friendly approach. It'll be interesting to see how much the books change following Arthur coming of age and how much they remain similar.

I just realized math isn't my strong point and that 21% done was a lie because I don't think I am that far but I never remember page numbers either....

Also - I do think I may have left the confusing bits behind because last night's reading was more enjoyable and less of me going "what is going on who is he what is happening..."

Maybe I judged it too harshly earlier....but this book is wild y'all.
