An interesting concept with political & social commentary, deep culture, & spiritual ties. Always surprised by short books that can create depth in characters & showcase layers in their world-building.

Bits of the plot felt rushed/choppy (how I wished for better transitions & proper build up), but still, I was hooked. I loved the social commonalities between Binti’s people & the Meduse & the theme of identity.
