Status Updates From Unplugged and Unpopular

I'm really enjoying this so far!! It's charming and funny.

I lied, I'm so avoiding that Livestock graphic novel, but it's because I have to reread it because I'm not really getting it.

No kidding, Grandma! Gotta love a story where a side character stumbles into a room with the villain and the means of taking out said villain is displayed on a table. *sigh*

So, we've got an alien telling the main character that humans "are the strongest beings in the universe".

We're stronger than gorillas? Elephants?

Yeah. Sure. (As if you can't tell by my tone, I'm not enjoying this. It's extremely juvenile, which is disturbing, considering it's aimed at kids who are plugged into their devices all day. If you're young enough to actually enjoy this, you shouldn't even have a phone!)

This is supposed to take place in the near future where anyone over the age of 30 is hopelessly uncool.

And then the kids use phrases like "totally rad".

Gee... I wonder how old the author is.
