It "took" me almost a month to read Windswept so I'm not certain my opinion is valid. It was a good read, never wanted to stop reading it, but for the most part, I had little idea what was going on.

Granted, most of the time I don't have a real good idea of what's going on, but it's still fun reading.

Well, y'all know I don't think it's kosher for men to write as women, but there it is. The protagonist Padma is a recruiter for the planetary Union which is the only option to being enslaved by the big corporations. Lots of action, characters. Happy I picked up 'Windswept' as my bedtime book for September. BTW: 'Windswept' is the name of the only decent alcoholic drink on the planet.

Bootlegging in space is what comes to mind as I start reading through the first few pages. No matter how far out into space humanity explores, alcohol, money, and greed for more will (inevitably & sadly) keep the species entangled into its destiny.
I know there's far more to this tale, which is why I will gladly keep diving into this futuristic, very human story of fighting to forge a better path for one's self.
