In 30 minutes, I got through two pages. TWO!

This may be a slow go. A tradition I am not familiar with. Lots to digest. Extremely long sentences that would make my English teacher cry to have to diagram. The author did admit the prelude would be a bit of a necessary slog, so maybe it'll pick up now that I'm in chapter 1???

great intro into the EOC, as well as a robust telling of early church history from the eastern orthodox perspective. so far, not a word wasted. Very much enjoying this book and is already creating a baseline for what I want to read next
