The cake was simple, with vanilla buttercream—exactly the way Max liked it. No frills, no fancy decor. Just a piped shell border, and then in red icing in the middle, Happy Birthday Max, Please Let Us Eat Your Ass.

COLLIN APPARENTLY HAS SOME ASS EATING IN HIS FUTURE

Way to go to make the epilogue's title a memorable one.

"Two weeks ago, I had a ring in my pocket meant for someone else,” he reminded them both.

Collin’s cabin smelled like it had two weeks before. Like soap and detergent, an underlying taste of food that made Max feel like he was at home, all wrapped in the smell of wet goat.


Wrapped in the smell of wet goat?! This is so funny. I wonder if this ever saw an editor at all.

Hell had been losing Max and Collin.


Hell? As in Lucifer's hell? LOL. Or a typo.

"We can take cats. We can take goats and duck too.”

This book needs a disclaimer or something. No animals were harmed in the writing of this story.

“My darlings, I never should have let you two leave.”


Collin sometimes sounds like a Christoph Waltz villain. I can hear the accent through the pages, LOL.

“I don’t need marriage or anything, but I need to know that we’re really doing this."


You've only know them for two days and one night. Damn right you don't need marriage yet. Jesus.

SPENCER IS READY FOR THE GOATS

"You’re the reason, because you make us fit. I couldn’t stop thinking about Max when I left, but...I couldn’t stop thinking about you, either. This doesn’t work without you, Collin. It’s the three of us, or nothing.”

He was aging, his libido was nothing like it was in his early university days, but Max and Spencer breathed life and vigor into the dark corners of him he swore had died with his divorce.

Of course, he knew there was more to Raf and Chaz’s relationship than he let on—Collin wasn’t a fool, and he wasn’t a prude. But he saw the way Raf quietly commanded Chaz, and the way Chaz easily submitted. He saw Raf’s possessive touches, and heard whispers of, “Your Grace” when Chaz addressed him where he thought Collin couldn’t hear it.


LOL, what's that? Role play with powdered 18th century wigs?!

“Oh, thank god.” Spencer jumped up and cats flew everywhere.

I am so sorry. I really like Spencer. But he is totally the crazy cat lady ;-)))

He couldn’t be angry that their fling didn’t turn into something more. Max had already found and lost Mr. Right, even if he was a twat. And Collin had been single since his divorce. There were a million reasons to let them go.


What?! Two single guys, why would there be a million reasons to let them go?!

“Either way. The ring was meant to be his. I just...didn’t know what to do with it. I was thinking maybe I’d do something dramatic like chucking it over a waterfall or into the raging river.”

Or Mount Doom.

Have you done this before?” Max demanded.
“Eat someone’s ass until they nearly cried before rescuing a duck?” Collin challenged.
Max rolled his eyes. “You know that’s not what I meant.”

He didn’t even notice the sky turning dark, didn’t hear the rumble of thunder, but it happened just the same. The clouds opened up with no warning and poured rain down onto them. Collin moved to pull away, but Max reached back and fisted his hair, pushing his mouth back against his hole.

The chapter titles are hilarious. :-)
They don't leave room for interpretation.

“Come to bed with us, darling.” Collin’s lips traced the shell of Spencer’s ear and he shivered. “I told you, the bed is big enough for everyone.”

Damn, this story is really hot.

And that’s when it struck Spencer that he was going to be trapped in a cabin overnight, with no power, a three-legged goat, a formerly angry jerk, and a way too sexy for Spencer’s own good guide.

This is getting better with each page. Robert the three legged goat is totally cute.

"Thirty? Are you the crazy cat lady or something?”

That is EXACTLY what I keep thinking since the beginning of the story :-)))

This is cute. It's very different from what I expected it would be. But I like it.

LOL, okay this is a case of ' I abandoned the book already but damn the blurb is so good that I NEED to give this a chance.'

Somehow this isn't really a sophisticated piece of romantic fiction, but I still can't stop reading it, so don't mind me :-)
