This focused alot on proving he could make sacrifices for love, but meanwhile she is super eager to destroy any romantic partner to assist a family member, and nothing is done to balance that scale at all. I felt bad for him like the whole time, he deserved better.

And the spicy times weren't even satisfying because they all happened in dreams or magical planes that made it seem less than real. Plus the shmurdering really killed the mood for me.

As always with this series, I enjoyed the characters, magic, spunk, and plot. I was excited to experience the fiery romance with this kind-hearted demon. It wasn't my favourite though. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I don't like abusive or toxic relationships being romanticized. Going from like attempted shmurder of love interest to sexy times and back to attempted shmurder was jarring.

I'm not going to quit this just yet, but I have passed the 50% mark, so I have given myself permission to drop it at any time. Bathin is too good for Myra. He and the Gods are the best things in these books. I wish they were the main characters instead of the Reeds. Myra is an improvement on Delaney but still not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Can't wait to see what she'll fuck up next.

The unicorn and Bathin are saving this book. Myra is mildly better than Delaney. I have no clue why Bathin is into her at all. Ryder and Hogan deserve to be stuck with one of the Reed's but Bathin deserves better. I set my mind to making it to the 50% mark before dropping this book but I might need to finish it to find out exactly what the deal is with the unicorn. She has to be something other than a unicorn.

22 minutes into the Graphic Audio production of this novel and I already want to drop it. How do all the sisters sound the same when they are the lead perspective? It's driving me nuts. I wish I could force myself to like this series because I desperately want to.

I have resolved to give this to at least 50% before I drop it. I really like Bathin and want to find out if he and Myra get together. It's just that the endless info dumping internal dialogues get so tiring to read. Delaney does it endlessly and Jean did a ton of it in her story. I hope Myra's story will be different.
