I watched as darkness fell on distant skies
bringing an end to this uncanny day
I heard its echoes as they passed away
into the caverns of my memory
Tomorrow life goes back to how it was
a thirsty lip and cup
whose depths reflect
coloured with wine
but when I bring my lips
to touch its edge
they taste no trace of memory's sweetness
they taste no trace.
