We’re at some good bits now. Loving the descriptions of the sea forest and the giant spider. Furthermore the shipwreck suspended in time was a really harrowing image. I want to remember that part. It’s right at the end of the chapter.

Verne has never heard to show not tell. He thinks they’re two separate things. Tell then show.

Also, I’m starting to have to skip through half a page long lists of ocean terminology that benefit the story in almost no way. The whole bony vs cartilaginous fish thing was so unnecessary, if they were just trying to show of councils skills they could have done that with one dialogue line.
