It’s a mix… I didn’t like the third story but the other three of the four were good

A vivid, richly descriptive collection centered on shape-shifting women. Accessible storytelling with folklore names in native languages (helpfully explained). Left me feeling fierce, proud and moved, especially by the old woman’s story. Empowering and tragic, immersive and mythic. Highly recommend to feminists who love fantasy, folklore and fairy tales.
