I know it's wrong, but since this isn't my genre, all I have to compare this book with is Harry Bosch. The biggest contrast so far - is that Mr. Burke claims that murder investigations are almost never successful or worth doing, and that fingerprints are almost useless. This viewpoint is radically different from Michael Connelly's take on police work.

I started reading this book because Conklin was reading it in Bosch #4. But it's not even close to the wrong of Connelly, so I'll stop here for now, maybe DNF it later. Too raw, just vice and strong-arming without the same literary value.
