in the 19th century a woman was not encouraged to be an artist. On the contrary, she was snubbed, slapped, lectured and exhorted.

Yk in the end, she did a really good job of pulling it all together and summarizing what does it mean “woman and fiction”, why the situation was how it was, and how, with the advancement of society, we now are given a chance to “write” (here i use this in a metaphorical sense of just being able to do the things we wish, with less prejudice)

Wish i could concentrate on the book, but in all honesty, rn it is just a distraction to adhere me from tears. I feel on the verge of breaking down but i cant since im in a train, in germany, alone, one that i had to run to catch because my one got cancelled 30 min before departure, heading to a city where i right now don’t wish to be. FUN!!

I mean she did also say some smart things and that so Yippie or somth
