Status Updates From Fullmetal Alchemist, Vol. 1

(4/17 REDO / THE CLIMAX) The climax centers on the battle against the corrupt Father Cornello in Liore, who uses a Philosopher's Stone to boost his alchemy .The fight reveals that the stone is a fake, while exposing that Alphonse Elric is a soul bound to armor and Edward has prosthetic limbs due to the past attempt to bring back there mother who passed away.

(SETTING) Eric and Edward are on a train to report the status of a mining town investigation to Colonel Roy Mustang. In the process, the train is hijacked by criminal alchemists, Alchemy is a mystical power to alter the natural world, while some use it for good (like Eric and Edward), others use it for crime. Edward and Eric overall take down these criminals with ease which leads into the next book (Vol 2).

(SUMMARY) In "Fullmetal Alchemist" Chapter 1, "The Two Alchemists," Edward and Alphonse Elric arrive in Reole, investigating Father Cornello, a priest using a Philosopher's Stone to perform "miracles" and scam the townspeople. Edward, a State Alchemist, and his brother, a soul bound to armor, aim to expose the fraud and find the stone to regain their original bodies.
