Status Updates From In the Dark, Soft Earth

I'm liking book 8 a bit more than the rest. Having each poem inspired by a tarot card is an interesting concept, and the poems themselves have a little more substance. Some favorites were "fortune" and "death"

This is not doing much for me. The words are pretty I guess but every poem is melding together bc they're all written in the same style and are about very similar topics

I'm pretty sure this will be my first time reading a poetry collection - certainly the first time as an adult. I've never been a huge poetry fan and I doubt I could really distinguish between "good" and "bad" poetry. But this one about nature does seem up my alley, so I'm excited to give it a shot
