This has all the pros and cons of "a person who REALLY knows what they are writing about writes a novel about their field of expertise". It's a slow read, but I also already downloaded (and started reading) Reames' professional articles about Alexander and Hephaistion. And I wouldn't do that if the novel were boring. Just don't expect anything fast paced.
