Damn, this one is killing me. 🥲

Apparently I’m reading this series backwards. Oops 😬

Last 1/2 of this book is so emotional, angsty and loaded with sex. I am not sure how I feel about the characters changing so fast in just a few chapters. I also feel there is SO MUCH sadness attached to military service and the characters are so broken.

I liked the book up till chapter 18 and now it is getting weird. Up till this point Breck was trying to meet the man who was with her brother overseas. She now has found him and turned her life upside down to be near him. He is very damaged and living in compound he runs with his partner a woman doctor.

Little sister of 19 yr old marine keeps in touch by skype ing him while he is overseas. She sees his Major in the background of the video and is attracted but horrified. She can't quit thinking about him and learns later (don't want to do a spoiler) that his is down on his luck and decides to find him and help him.

When I looked at the progress I thought I was almost finished with the book, but nahhh hardly half way 😂 it's a nice time-passer, funny enough to keep me smiling even if it is completely ridiculous.
