DNF at 28%. I don't see myself picking this back up. The southern aspect seemed forced and the "flash back/memories" just distracted from the story. I lost interest in even knowing how it ends I'm pretty sure I can guess without ever touching the book again.

Did the author really just forget what she wrote a little while ago? Which is it? Was Levi's father a long term affair that he met well enough over the course of his life to know he looked like him? Or was he someone that his mother just barely told him the guy's name before she died?
