Yikes all three of the suspects were innocent after all and the businessman played them all, how could they never catch up with him I will never understand. I guess I did kind of warm up to Simon at the end especially when he chased after Ida and rescued her from this prisoner ship, I wasn't expecting her to agree to the proposal so easily but to each their own I guess.

UGH Simon infuriates me, him believing that Ida should be perfectly happy and satisifed by just being his mistress was unbelievably selfish of him. I had hoped he had changed his way of thinking by then but nope. Then he planned a whole dinner party in order to propose her but didn't consider simply talking about it all with her for once. I am so over it.

Ida is so sweet to agree to give a second chance to Simon so easily, I hope he doesn't break her trust again in any way. Somehow I don't believe that Elliot would have been involved in the scheme to frame Ida's father but he is just deperate to maintain his reputation. Ida shooting him was quite unexpected but well deserved. I can't say that I absolutely love the romance between the two MCs but it's bearable

Ugh Simon shouldn't have acted like he was embarrased to be seen with Ida in society, she really wished to dance at the ball and he won't just let her mingle with anyone, it frustrated me so much. No wonder she feels like he wants to keep her hidden. Now that she is going to find out he is related to one of the suspects, I can only imagine how shocked and betrayed she'd feel

Simon is so tight strung, I was having difficulty understanding just how he'd come about to having feelings for Ida but they seem to be getting along well together. Ida is a strong self confident girl, and I like how she didn't turn into someone timid when faced with difficulty rather handled it all gracefully. I am curious to see how she and Simon exact vengeance for her father. They work well together ngl
