Life's been busy and this book is boring

This book is absolutely fascinating. Not at all what I thought it would be about, but it’s so captivating and I don’t know what to think of anything

Was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I am. It feels like it was written by a lesbian in the 19th century who can only hint at love to women with slight obsession and subtle remarks. It describes perfectly the rage one may feel trapped in gender roles while telling a captivating story. I’m only about 1/6 of the way through but so far this book is incredible.

“The hubris of it, thinking I could be a decent human being and a valuable member of family and society and still create? Absurd. How strong did I think I was? No, obviously what strength was all along was the ability to say fuck off to the lot of it. To turn your back on all the suffering and contemplate unmolested your own desires above all. Men have generations of practice at this.”
I love this woman.
