Okay I was expecting Khai’s mom to bring Esme back, hire her as the new help at her restaurant or something and set them up slowly. So consider me caught completely off guard when the mom and her plan involves ZERO subtlety. Like free my boy Khai. On the other hand, I’m so entertained by Khai and his inner monologues. I was not expecting Esme to have a child but I’m looking forward to seeing how her little one, her relationship with her mother and grandmother, and the mystery behind her dad all intertwine to shape her and Khai’s story. I appreciate how there’s more at stake for her in comparison to the K.Q. I wont lie I had gotten a bit bored halfway through. So Im actually excited!
