I keep putting it down and walking away, not because the book isn’t good (it is) - but because of my rage at how sexism permeates so much of our world and the radically different treatment of different sexes and genders within science, medicine, journalism/information dissemination.

Enjoying it so far! Almeling’s ability to weave centuries old archival data with wit and contemporary understandings of gender and race is exciting.
