This book is so meandering and pointless and I never know what point in time we're talking about and there's too many names to keep track of. I thought I wanted a simple slice of life but fuck I really prefer fantasy and sci fi. Why did people love this? It's like being stuck in a waiting room with some chatty old lady. Maybe the end is better.
