Status Updates From The Son of Good Fortune

I’m still intrigued by the book so far. I haven’t picked up a book in a very long time and this book has gotten me back into reading. The way the book is written is easy for me to imagine and create a little movie in my head! I like the character Excel has become and I love hearing his thoughts on why he does what he does.

The book gives me a good familiarity since i’m a filipino from the bay area. I love how Colma is where Excel and his mom live because that city and the surrounding area is predominantly filipino. It makes me wonder if there are actual filipino women that are in a similar situation as Maxima.
