Jessica really needs to get out of this town. Those people are never going to accept her. Her granny even complains about the color of her clothes!! And they all gossip about her too. And lie about her. Her own family. Sorry but Magnolia Harbor is an ugly town. She should leave.

So a bit of a mystery has been added. Someone named Abimael had arrived on the island + the name is linked to a possible buried treasure. But my brain asks "why does everyone presume that this Abimael is a human?" I wonder if Abimael could be a horse? Many horses have unique names like that. Hmmm... I am reading outside + enjoying the sun.

Topher seems to be working hard to improve his health but I wonder is Jessica can really forgive him for the past? And all of those rumors that destroyed her life??

I have found reading these "fluff" books helps me recover from reading all of those other books... And its certainly an interesting story so far. But wow... I just learned from the back of the book that Topher's actual name is Christopher ? Here I had actually thought it was Topher as that is what they call him in the book!

Slow read 4 me .. but life extra busy right now .. skipping a bit as plot/characters aren’t as “real” for this reader.

Not really buying this story much.
The hero with lots of money THAT worried about his looks ? Not typical masculine ego. And hello plastic surgery…. ?
Will skim .. hope it improves.
