Some of the best written pop history/political theory. Everything is so nice and easy to read. This kind of stuff can also be harmful. A reader could hold onto some of the generalizations such as ‘the caste system was largely unscathed by British colonialism’ and ‘Islam effectively removed Christianity as a major religion of the Middle East.’ Still useful info in here, though.
