Finally getting some substantial reveals, but even still, I’m having trouble getting into it—probably just tired so not giving it a fair shot.
I am surprised at how I think Fran is an interesting character and am not infuriated by her; she’s naive and stubborn and has an unhealthy obsession with an older man, but it works as the story of a girl growing up and piecing together the fuckedupness of the world

I appreciate Fram’s kid perspective: eagerness for approval, sense of isolation/being the “ugly duckling” of her siblings.
The present drama over the history is a bit eh—not good, but not bad either.

Good. The writing is lovely and the characterization of Fram’s child perspective is interesting.

Interesting with quite nice language. Still mostly setting the scene but I appreciate the fractured family feel along with the naivety of Fran paired with the background of German occupation.
