Ch 11: Man - puts people into perspective, does not address race or gender but reminds us of our limitations.

Ch 10: Time - for the students who are stuck in the past or too focused on growing up. Take your time, live in the moment. Don’t wait for an opportunity, take action now.

Ch 9: Art - for the students who are artist. For the students who value humanities. Students who value sciences would not appreciate this chapter.

Ch 8: Atheism - hard to judge who would benefit from this as it focuses on the arguments for atheism. It even calls agnosticism the lack of choosing. A student who is agnostic or atheist would enjoy this chapter.

Ch 7: God - great for the students who do believe in God to either help them strengthen their belief or question why they believe.

Ch 6: Freedom - good for the kids who think they can do whatever they want because of “freedom of speech”. Understanding freedom within the context of whatever restraints you are in

Ch 5: Knowledge - good for the know-it-alls and those who don’t value school.

Ch 4: Death - good for thinking about what happens after death and why we should appreciate life

Ch 3: Love. TW: mentions of suicide. Love can come from what you want it to come from and you love things without realizing it. Depression can grow is you do not find concrete things to attach your love to.

Ch 2: Politics - explains why politics are necessary. Could work in hand with the U.S. and French relationship after the revolutionary war. Explains why people need to participate in politics to make change happens. Points out morality’s part in politics.

Ch 1: Ethics - lesson idea? Does not explicitly say empathy but it ends with saying we should contribute to humanity because humanity needs us.
